Job Title: Operations Manager
Department: SHEQ
Reporting to: Head of Health & Safety
Location: Dublin

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of field and project specific advisors, including completing regular one to ones, allocating schedules of works and ensuring KPIs are set and met by the team
  • Manage the SHEQ training team including completing regular one to ones, setting of trainer’s KPIs and ensuring they are met, and managing the allocation and scheduling of training with the team
  • Work with the IMS Support manager to ensure the development and implementation of the IMS is carried out in a comprehensive and integrated manner
  • Implement SHEQ policy and procedures, incorporating legislative requirements, industry best practice and other requirements related to the Network & In-Home divisions Integrated Management Systems.
  • Assist the Head of SHEQ in supporting the business in ensuring client SHEQ requirements are fulfilled
  • Assist the business with audits, inspections and performance monitoring of SHEQ compliance
  • Identify and support SHEQ training requirements to company staff and ensure adequate training is provided to contractors where required.
  • Provide reports and key Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety metrics as required to the head of SHEQ.
  • Initiate or implement initiatives in relation to improving Safety, Quality Environmental, and Health KPIs.
  • Participate in ongoing SHEQ projects as required.
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Head of SHEQ as appropriate.
  • Work with the Operations teams as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time.

Skills and Experience:

  • Management/supervision experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills – verbal and written
  • Excellent planning, organisational, training, and presentation skills
  • Decisive, self-motivated with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Training experience and qualification
  • Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Flexibility in line with business requirements including availability to travel
  • Knowledge of or qualifications in SHEQ would be a distinct advantage
