Overview
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Working Under the guidance of the Lead Health & Safety Manager.
- Develop safety documents in conjunction with the Site Supervisors.
- Advise/assist the Site Supervisor in drafting and communicating method statements.
- Assist Site Supervisor on the completion of Specific Weekly/Daily Work Permits
- Attend client site safety meetings as MTM representative when requested.
- Manage the Tool Box Schedule for the project including attendance records
- Comply with company policy on matters of confidentiality and disclosure of information
- Furnish safety reports to head office as required
- Ensure compliance and promote good work practices in relation to health, safety and welfare management system.
- Assist in OSHAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA (Dutch) and Safe-T-Cert annual audits with Health & Safety Manager
- Assist with the delivery of company inductions at our HQ.
- Comply with other reasonable request from senior management on matters of safety not to the detriment of the core duties.
- Updating EHS Database for all training requirements, induction files, inspection records, accident files and statistical records.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Relevant third level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (Level 7/8 Degree or Diploma)
- Minimum of 1 Year’s experience in Health & Safety.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while juggling several priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Independent transport and excellent time management
- Strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Organized, energetic and self-motivated.
- Good knowledge of environmental, health and safety practice standards.
- Ability to work in a team environment and can engage, motivate and work with team members and site personnel.
- Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative without immediate hands on support.
- Strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives and ability to challenge status quo.
- Experience in a Training environment would be beneficial
